Sunset Hill
"Sunset Hill" captures a serene moment at the Glastonbury Festival, a place I’ve visited many times. The scene is set near the Park Stage, just after sunset. A couple is lying on the grass, relaxed and at ease. The man is asleep, unaware of his surroundings, while the woman next to him gazes directly at the viewer.

Her look is intentional, inviting you into the moment. It creates a sense of intimacy and curiosity—are you approaching her, or is this just a fleeting glance in her direction? The man remains oblivious to her gaze, emphasising that this moment of connection is between you and her alone.

The painting aims to draw you in, making you feel part of the scene. It’s about capturing that brief, personal connection amidst the bustling festival, where a simple glance can hold a world of meaning.
